The #1 Rated Mothers Day Gift For My Mom

By Seth Garrison

Ok. So this article has nothing to do with new age spirituality or human evolution or spiritual awakening or any topic that I usually write about. It is a post about Mother's Day ... just for fun. I always think of my mother at this time of year but maybe not for the reason you think. .

If my mother were still here in body and someone asked her what the best Mother's Day gift she had ever received, she wouldn't hesitate with her answer. There was one gift that beat the competition by miles.

My mother starting having children in 1952. She bore three daughters and one son. During the 1950's it was almost expected of a woman to bear children and stay home with them to cater to their every need. She was masterful at it. She took her job very seriously and was the best Mom a child could ever ask for.

My siblings and I would always do something special for her on Mother's Day. We would make her something at school that would bring tears to her eyes when we proudly presented them to her on her one and only special day.

These small but meaningful gifts would make her day and would consistently be rated in her top three best gifts for Mother's Day but could never attain number one status.

I am sure every mother would say the same thing. Receiving a hand made present from someone who is the center of their universe means more than a gift that costs a lot of money. Those kind of presents are nice too.

My Father had that covered with the kind of presents he would bestow on her every second Sunday in May.

One year he presented her with tickets to Hawaii. Other years it was something expensive for the house or her kitchen. Most years he would treat her to a night at the fanciest hotel in town. He would always tell her that she deserved a break from cooking, cleaning and from her children. The kind of gifts that cost a lot of money were surely appreciated by her but would they would never hit number one on her charts. That was reserved.

Her response, to being asked what her best Mothers Day present ever was, would always quick and decisive.

As we know, Mother's Day falls on the second Sunday in May. One Mother's Day in 1954 she received her all time best present that was unable to be topped for her 50 or so Mother's Days to follow. It was a present that was the most meaningful, the most exciting, the most heartfelt and the most unusual of any she had ever received.

In 1954, Mother's Day fell on the 8th of May. Her present arrived that Sunday very early in the morning.

I was the second child born in our family. The only male child. I was born at 5:40 AM on May the 8th ... 1954. Mother's Day. The best Mother's Day gift my mother ever received was without a doubt ... ME

Gift Ideas for a Memorable Retirement

By Angelique Ellerman

When looking for retirement gifts it's important to find gifts that reflect the individual's interests, hobbies or favorite pastimes. Sure plaques and trophies are a nice way to recognize years of excellent service, but those are the kind of gifts that corporations will end up giving. Gifts are always appreciated more when it's something that they'll actually use and that brings joy and relaxation into their lives.

When someone enters retirement, they suddenly have all this free time on their hands. Some people already know how they'll begin enjoying retirement; other's may take a little more time to adjust and are not quite sure retirement is such a good idea. Gifts that remind them of a prestigious career for example: teaching, lawyers, executives, doctors, judges, coaches or law enforcement, can often help with the transition and there are lots of unique gifts ideas to choose from that are career orientated. Getting gifts that help them pursue their interests will also help; if they played golf for example: there are a lot of golfing accessories which can be anything from monogrammed ball markers to a new personalized golf bag or a yardage finder. Other ideas could be a membership to a golf club, personalized golf balls or even a humorous gift like golfing lessons gives them something to look forward to. Anther example would be the military: there are patriotic paperweights, U.S. military rings, watches and other jewelry; they even make patriotic poker sets, beer mugs and throw blankets.

Gifts can be funny or inspirational too. There are T-shirts, sweatshirts, hats and pillows available with witty sayings and funny pictures. Also available are unique doormats, mouse pads and picture frames that have humorous retirement sayings and meaningful poems that will remind them of your friendship. Encourage them to relax with a comfortable and charming bed rest that enables a person to sit up comfortably while sitting in bed reading or watching TV. The bed rest also includes handy pockets for magazines and books or the TV remote. Or inspire them to look to the stars with a new telescope.

Ideas that are unique are often the most fun for example: A Day Clock has days of the week instead of numbers, because the person retiring doesn't have to worry about time anymore, they only have to know what day it is. Personalized items are very unique and can be anything nowadays. Items like: a beer mug, decanter set, deluxe chess set, personalized bar room sign or professional poker chip set. Other ideas include a day at the spa or salon, passport covers, watch box or valet tray, leather blackberry, Ipod or CD case, gift baskets, travel manicure sets, garment bags or even a sit 'n fish personalized cooler and chair.

One last idea when looking for retirement gifts is to see if everybody in the office wants to go in on one big gift. These ideas include: a small vacation getaway, tickets to a favorite concert or event, membership to a gym or club of choice, a massaging recliner to help them unwind or even shares of stock. Perfect if they are into the stock market and if not it will not only give them something to do, but may spark a new interest.

Retirement is a time of celebration for both the past achievements and a bright new future. If the gift is well though out, no matter if it's funny or practical, they'll always remember who the master gift-giver is and appreciate your thoughtfulness. We all know what it's like to get gifts that don't really fit into our lifestyle, so make sure your retirement gift is something that will bring joy, fun and relaxation into their new way of life and your gift will always be cherished. Happy Shopping :-)

By Drawlon M. Tsang

As more couples live together before walking down the aisle, outfitting an entire home is becoming something of the past for wedding guests. Many couples don't need the blenders, knives, bedding, or other home gifts. The opportunity to give a unique wedding gift has never been more welcome, and most can be found at a local wholesale retailer. For a true deviation from the registry list, try these unique wholesale wedding gifts this wedding season.

Sporting Equipment

The war on obesity is on! Dietitians and nutrition experts recommend couples engage in exercise activity together. Wholesale sporting equipment is a wedding gift that not only encourages more quality time as a couple, but is also an investment into the happy couple's health. Both indoor and outdoor wholesale sporting equipment fit the bill. The best wedding gifts will consist of wholesale sporting equipment the bride and groom are interested in, or have expressed a previous interest in attempting.

Home Security

Wholesale home security products can give a newly wedded couple peace of mind. Home security products are wide and varied, from wholesale keypad door locks to overstock outdoor flood lights. Another aspect of home security frequently overlooked is the emergency preparedness kit. Items like wholesale batteries, liquidated flashlights, and shelf-pulled dry goods are true lifesavers during inclement weather or a home accident such as fire.

Wall Art

One area new couples struggle with is setting aside resources for decor. Nothing makes a house feel like a home than inviting images and artwork on the bare walls. Wholesale artwork and liquidated prints are perfect ways to provide impressive wall art without the impressive wall art price. If selecting a specific print or wholesale artwork, opt for a liquidated wall mirror instead. Smaller apartments and rooms are opened up by the strategic use of wholesale mirrors, and can operate as a window imitator.

As with any wedding gift, intimate knowledge of the couple increase the likelihood the gift will be well received. Unique wholesale wedding gifts allow a guest's gift to stand out, and also bring a new dimension to the newly wedded life of the bride and groom. Wholesale sporting equipment will keep the happy couple active long after the honeymoon. If the home is a fortress, help the new husband and wife keep it protected with wholesale home security products. Finally, bring an aspect of warmth to even the smallest of homes with a wholesale piece of wall art or a liquidated wall mirror.

All things considered, close friends of the new family should really take some time before choosing a present for their happily married friends because a gift is a very intimate gesture that expresses feelings in a subtle manner so it is highly advisable to pick the right one because there is only one chance of getting it right, you know what they say, better safe than sorry. Many wholesale wedding gifts companies have a site on the Internet so it is recommended to start looking there first. Good luck!

Fountain Pens for Beauty and Utility

By Tom Herzer

As a child, I remember how much I enjoyed writing with a fountain pen. There were plenty of ordinary pens around the house, but I was fascinated by the visual appeal and unique features that my grandmothers fountain pen offered. As I was learning to write, she allowed me to use her fountain pen and eventually bought one for me as a gift. I was delighted then and still remember that gift with fondness.

The delights I experienced as a young boy remain with me today when I write with a fountain pen. The reasons are related to both the visual and functional aspects of its use. Follow along as I highlight the appealing aspects of the fountain pen.

Graceful Lines by Design: By this I refer to the fountain pen itself. Typically, they sport a flowing contour in both the main body and cap. Many models allow for the cap to be placed on the body while writing. Others styles are designed for the cap to be removed. I personally prefer the removed cap, as it allows for better balance and less writing fatigue.

Exotic Body Material: Fountain pens are available in a large variety of body materials. While synthetic materials, such as acrylic, can be selected, I personally prefer an exotic wood. Wood has a natural feel to it that enhances the writing experience. With so many enchanting wood species and the uniqueness of each, your pen takes on a character of its own. Over time, the oils from your fingers will change the color of the wood; making it truly personal.

Highlighting Components: Some components, such as the clip and center ring, are common among all pens. The nib is the unique part of the fountain pen that dispenses the ink through its tip. In addition to its functionality and in union with the other components, various metallic plating contrasts beautifully with the fountain pen body.

Smooth, Effortless Writing: The fountain pen provides the smoothest writing of all pen types. This is so because a very light pressure on the nib tip releases the ink that also acts as a lubricant between the tip and paper.

Calligraphy Capable: For those with an artistic flair, the fountain pen allows for the style of writing known as calligraphy. A standard nib can achieve this effect; but by using a variety of fine to broad tips, you are able to expand the dimensions of this artistic writing style.

Endless Ink Colors: If you are looking to write in a special color, the fountain pen offers this versatility. In addition to standard cartridges, piston-like reservoirs can be filled with any imaginable color. Changing colors is easy too. Simply empty and flush the reservoir and nib with cool water and you can refill with a new color.

Fountain pens offer the best in style and functionality. Graceful lines, body design and stunning material components, combine to create an eye-appealing instrument. As a bonus, the fountain pens smooth writing, artistic flair and ink color variety, make it unmatched in its utility. All together, the character of the fountain pen makes it an excellent choice for many writers.

Great Gifts - Wholesale Kitchen Wedding Presents

By Drawlon M. Tsang

June marks the height of wedding season. The most popular wedding gifts make their home in the kitchen. Outfitting a fully functional kitchen is expensive. Calling on friends and family members to help stock it appears to simply be a rite of passage these days for engaged couples. Wedding gift registries have become the length of small novels for the largest of weddings!

Cynical though it may be, too many marriages end before all of the wedding gifts are even unwrapped! If your customers don't wish to spend big bucks for products on the registry at a house wares super store, offer them the wholesale alternative. Flatware, knives, gadgets, and small appliances are some of the most popular wedding gifts requested. Fortunately, all can be found at the best wholesale outlets.

Flatware

Chances are the silverware drawer for the bride and groom is a mixture of hodge-podge, cheaply made eating utensils. Some might even be, ahem, "souvenirs" from the college dining hall. Wholesale retailers can offer drastic discounts on sets of flatware. Major retail stores are constantly pulling older styles off the shelves for new models. Choose to stock common brand names like Hampton Forge that can be found at numerous retailers so gift recipients can finish the set.

Knives

To go along with the forks and spoons, a decent set of knives are a must! Unfortunately, retail prices on knife sets are more than a pretty penny. This kitchen staple is easily picked up on the wholesale side, and most wholesale knife sets include a variety of other kitchen tools. Look for wholesale sets that include measuring cups, serving spoons, spatulas, and peelers. Overstock specialty knives like a cheese knife, grapefruit knife, and an extra paring knife are also welcome additions to any kitchen.

As Seen On TV Gadgets

We've all heard the slogan "for only $19.95...," and strongly resisted the urge to pick up the phone. This isn't to say that all kitchen gadgets sold mainly through television infomercials are poor quality, or not handy for certain tasks. Like any retailer, television advertised gadgets have overstock and liquidation needs. Wholesale retailers can pick up famous As-Seen-On-TV gadgets like the Magic Bullet, at bargain prices. Plus, your customers looking for a unique wedding gift have found one, and chances are it won't be a duplicate on any master registry.

Small Appliances

Probably the greatest savings can be found in offering wholesale small kitchen appliances. First, there is a wide selection thanks to customer returns and factory refurbished units. Second, companies like to produce the same products in different color schemes and configurations each year, so there exists a healthy source of shelf-pulls. Kitchens soon to be cooking for two love small appliances like wholesale blenders, shelf-pulled coffee makers, and refurbished toaster ovens. Top brand names, such as Cuisinart, are always a great opportunity. The married couple will never know it was wholesale, not retail.

The most appealing aspect of wholesale kitchen wedding gifts is the infinite shelf life. A liquidated toaster oven can sit in a back stock room for over a year and still fully function right out of the box. Plus, customer returns are commonly a failure to match preexisting items, or the product was an unneeded gift. Therefore, unless it was due to malfunction, the customer return will be in the original packaging. In the event it was due to malfunction, a company refurbished product is rarely not distributed in new company packaging. Either way, this summer's tune of wedding bells could be a great opportunity to offer wholesale kitchen wedding gifts. Stock them soon though, because June is just around the corner.

http://www.rhinomart.com owned by Drawlon Tsang is offering wholesale products and closeouts for a wide range of articles ranging from apparel to truckloads.

Traditional Wholesale Wedding Gifts

By Drawlon M. Tsang

Summer inevitably brings the height of wedding season, and with it the need for wedding presents. There is big business in the gift registry industry, and there is no reason wholesale retailers can't get in on the action! With the popular trend of wedding websites, even a small wholesale retailer could offer gift registry services with or without a brick-and-mortar location. If the subject of traditional wedding gifts is baffling to you, here is a quick overview of traditional wedding gifts easily obtained at wholesale prices.

Wholesale Bedding

Let's face it, those extra long twin sheets for the dorm bed just won't lead to matrimonial bliss. Most couples about to wed have invested in a grown up bed with room for two. Affording extra sets of sheets might be a strain on the budget. High thread count wholesale sheet sets make great wedding gifts. If the color isn't the perfect shade for the bride and groom, the wholesale sheets can easily transfer to a guest room bedding. However, if the wholesale sheets are of the highest thread count, the luxury will override any mismatch in color!

Wholesale sheet sets are not the only bedding items that are pricey in retail, but welcome wedding presents. Wholesale pillows, overstock comforters, and liquidated blankets work well as stock for customers with a wedding invitation in hand. The best wholesale bedding products will be shelf-pulls or company overstock, and still encased in the original packaging.

Wholesale Home Decorations

One fun activity for a new couple is decorating the shared living space. Friends and family members can help by providing the building blocks for this design. Wholesale home decorations, such as wholesale lamps, overstock wall art, and surplus rugs can offer the deepest discounts. An easy way to develop a room style is to start with one piece as a guideline. By selecting a neutral, or specifically tailored selection, a bargain priced lamp, wall hanging, or rug could easily be the focal point to base the rest of the design.

Wholesale Dining Pieces

A clear indication of maturity is moving up from paper plates and pizza boxes. Married couples have a need for shelf-pull dish sets, and other table setting items. Large discounts can be found on wholesale table linens, such as table cloths and napkins, and liquidated flatware. Make sure you stock at least a full six or eight person seating. Wedding guests will look to purchase complete sets of dining pieces, even if the items are offered at wholesale prices.

Wholesale Kitchen Products

The kitchen is the heart of a home. Great wedding gifts come again from sets of wholesale items. Wholesale cookware kits, with pots and pans, wholesale knife sets, and overstock or customer returned small appliances are all the rage. Why give the couple a retail priced blender, when a wholesale version is available for half the cost? Offer your customers the best variety in this category, and it won't matter if an item is not on the official registry, if the price is right.

Wholesale wedding gifts make perfect sense for the discerning wedding patron. Wholesale wedding presents allow a customer to stretch the dollar, and purchase perhaps a nicer gift than what is affordable at retail prices. By providing wedding gift registry services on your website, or in store, you offer a wholesale solution to a costly growing problem. Consumer goods keep rising in price, and married couples are asking for more and more. With wholesale wedding gifts, everyone is happy. The customer spent less, the bride and groom receive a quality gift, and your cash register drawer is a little heavier.

Sending Flowers - Express Your Feelings On Special And Ordinary Days

By Stephan Grindley

The massive amount of online options for sending flowers has made having flowers delivered to friends and loved ones simpler, quicker and more fun than ever before. Mother's Day and Valentine's Day remain the two busiest days for florists and flower deliveries in the U.S. The floral arrangements and gifts chosen by customers worldwide no longer have to be the traditional one-dozen roses for Valentine's Day or spring floral bouquet for Mother's Day.

Considering sending flowers to surprise your mom on Mother's Day? There are now a myriad of different online florists you can turn to for thousands of unique and creative ideas. There's nothing a mom or wife likes better than a beautiful and unexpected delivery.

Surprise deliveries say to the receiver that they are indeed thought of, even by those who are far away from home. When is Father's Day?

By Jonathan A Smith

Unlike Christmas Day, New Year's Day and Pay Day, Father's Day's place in the calendar can seem difficult to pinpoint because it changes from year to year - and, indeed, from country to country. You might think that this gives you a legitimate excuse to forget it, but when there's such a wondrous array of gifts available to light up his eyes, why would you want to forget it?

To be honest, the chances of anyone who lives within 200 miles of western civilisation forgetting Father's Day are very slim indeed. The early warning sirens will have given you at least a month's notice. Card shop windows will be prodding you with subtle capitalised slogans, pubs and restaurants will be advising you to "Book now for Father's Day", which is nice of them, and even the new page on your calendar will have that telltale little subheading under the date. And that doesn't take into account the fact that your dad has started being extra nice to you and asking your mum how she enjoyed Mother's Day.

But say the card shops all closed down, the pubs were banned from advertising, your calendar and diary have fallen behind the fridge and your dad is on a business trip to the moon. Then how will you know when Father's Day is?

It's easy. Ever since the first Father's Day was proposed by Sonora Smart Dodd in the early 1900s, it has been held on the third Sunday in June. So: in 2008 it's on 15 June;
in 2009 it will be on 21 June; and in 2010 it will be on 20 June.

Now for the complicated bit. Not every nation follows the "third Sunday in June" rule. The ones that do stick with the rule include most of North and South America, a big chunk of Europe plus China, Pakistan, India, South Africa and the Philippines. However, Italy, Spain, Portugal and Belgium use 29 March.

In Germany it always coincides with Ascension Day, which is forty days after Easter and therefore on a Thursday. It's also called "Men's Day", and is not as much of a family day as is the British Father's Day; indeed, the men (not necessarily fathers) often go off into the countryside an engage in what resembles a pub crawl! Fortunately for the German economy, it's a public holiday.

In Finland, Norway, Sweden and Estonia, Father's Day is held on the second Sunday of November, but Denmark holds it on 5 June.

Other major exceptions are Brazil (second Sunday in August) and Australia and New Zealand (first Sunday in September), and there is a smattering of other countries' Father's Days or their traditional equivalents throughout the year.

So now you know when it is, you are just left with the exceedingly simple task of deciding what Fathers Day gifts to get for your No. 1 dad. It's a good starting point to eliminate all the obvious presents and think about to stretching your imagination a little. The internet is full of excellent websites where amusing, innovative and personally meaningful gifts can be found. So start searching for some amazing presents - all you need to know is what country you're in.

Father's Day Gifts For Free With Priceless Results

By Jonathan A Smith

During these times, when everything seems to have a commercial element to it, it's easy to forget that most of life's true pleasures are basic human needs that predate money and shops. They are the good times, the small gestures, the helping hands and the moments of tenderness that most of us don't do often enough but feel a warm glow inside when we do. While it's true that sometimes we need to spend a little to reach these blissful moments, for example booking a flight to be close to our loved ones or buying the ingredients for that home-made cake, it's not the amount we spend that matters - it's the end result. Here are a few ideas to make Father's Day a little more meaningful without spending a penny.

Spending time

Father's Day gifts don't need to be wrappable or buyable. They can be as abstract as the moving hands on a clock. It's interesting that we say "spending" time when we talk about being with someone we care for, because if we were to try and put a value on it, we'd be faced with an impossible calculation. Even solicitors would struggle to come up with a suitable hourly rate. Nevertheless, the time we spend laughing and chatting in each other's company is priceless. And doing it on your own just looks odd.

Lending a hand

We all have those domestic chores that we continually put off, either because they induce a relaxing sensation of boredom or because they are too difficult to tackle alone. But be done they must, and the longer we put them off the worse the problem can become. It could be something as simple as replacing a washer or painting a gutter, but when two people are on the job, it's much more fun - and it will stop being a niggling little matter playing on the mind. Is there a better time than Father's Day to ask if he'd like a hand with anything?

Show an interest

Have you noticed that when you have a hobby or interest, it's a big thrill to meet someone who wants to find out more? Or maybe there's a story from your past that you love to share with people. If you know what makes your dad tick, why not get a conversation going about it, or ask him to give you a demonstration? You might find yourself up in the loft as he fires up his train set, watching aghast as he reveals his secret yoga or fire eating skills or simply sitting down and watching a DVD together. Whatever you end up doing, you'll be sure to bond and have a memorable time.

Create something

We all have a creative streak hidden within our souls. Or perhaps there's an art you've been refining over the years that could be the basis of fabulous Father's Day gifts. It could be something hands-on like woodwork or origami, or possibly a talent for songwriting, poetry, film-making or painting.

Those of us who excel in the kitchen will no doubt be able to conjure something amazing up, be it a five-course meal or a batch of his favourite muffins. In fact, the more unusual and unbelievable your talent, the bigger will be the surprise when you apply it to creating a superb Fathers Day gift that will cost no more than a few raw materials and some of your time. But you can bet that the Father's Day you give him a sample of your wares or talent will be the one he remembers the longest.

Father's Day Always Falls on a Fun Day

By Jonathan A Smith

Every dad in the world places great value on a sense of humour, especially their own. True, its deployment usually brings more cringes and red faces than the belly laughs he feels his comments so richly deserve, but as long as it entertains him and nobody gets hurt, who cares? Some dads even feel the need to tell all and sundry that they have a great sense of humour, which really shouldn't need saying if it's true. Perhaps they are only joking. Anyway, with Father's Day rarely more than a year away, we'd better start thinking about gifts that match or (if this is possible) better the recipient's self-professed wit. This shouldn't take too long then.

Father's Day gifts have always been much more difficult to decide upon than Mother's Day ones. Fathers tend not to like flowers and perfume, and if there's a gadget that would improve the quality of their lives, they'd probably already own one. This could be why humorous and quirky gifts have played such an important part in Father's Day celebrations over the years. And it won't take much of a search around the internet to find some novel, original and laugh-out-loud funny gifts. Finding the one that tickles dad's funny bone is just a matter of time - and it'll be the most fun you've ever had on the net.

Let's take one example: the gift of nothing (for the man who has everything). People who complain that there is too much packaging on modern products should look at this. Without the packaging it would literally be nothing. But when nothing is packaged correctly, it suddenly becomes something. Confused? That's nothing. Wait till you see your dad's face.

And how about receiving a Bible as a Father's Day gift? You can remind him that he says he likes a good book, but that this is dynamite. He'll probably be a little baffled until he opens it up to discover a hip flask ready to be charged up with a drop of his favourite tipple. Would you Adam and Eve it?

You're probably beginning to work out that these are no ordinary Father's Day gifts. They are little packages of laughter that have a certain element of weirdness about them - the "Who would think of a thing like that?" element. Well we already know the answer. Weirdos. Who else could think of a toy gun that fires a ball of air harmlessly at its target and then think nothing of marketing it at grown men? Or a golf set that you play on the toilet? Or a pack of bandages that look like T-bone steaks? Or a Swiss cheese door wedge?

All of a sudden a splatted man coaster starts to look like a perfectly normal and logical object. Once this has happened, congratulations - you now inhabit the mind of a dad. The products detailed above are, of course, only the tip of a very peculiar iceberg. Look around the web and crazy Father's Day ideas just keep on unearthing themselves; once you've found the one with your dad's personal stamp on it, you'll be giggling to yourself right until you give it to him.

Top 7 Gifts Men Love To Have

By Bradlley Mckoy

Have you been thinking about the gifts men would love to have? Just ask your friends. They'll tell you that it is really difficult to come up with gift ideas for men, but it won't hurt to give something stylish like one of those pocket watches or pocket watch accessories.

Men Have Their Favorites, Too

When it comes to gifts, men have their favorites, too. But if it were your task to choose one gift for the boss, you'd be stumped for ideas. You'd want something he would be eternally grateful for, something that would earn remarks like: "Oh great! This is just the very thing I needed!" Well, your golf gifts or pocket watch accessories could elicit this response.

But men are not sentimental or mawkish when it comes to gifts. As long as they can use it, the gift is perfect. But for all you know, men have their favorite gifts such as:

* power tools;

* DIY kits;

* a relaxing massage at the spa complete with a hot bath;

* superb home cooked meals;

* a ticket to the ballgames;

* video games;

* something he can show off.

The moment a motorhead gets a tool set, you can expect him to start tinkering with his motorcycle. Or, if a voracious reader gets the book he likes, he'll be leafing through it in no time. Gifts like watches, pocket watch accessories, wallets, and label makers are valued by men who love gizmos and fashionable knickknacks. As always, the gifts should be carefully selected to cater to personality and interests.

What Not to Give Men

Just watching the males in the family can clue you in to the gifts they love to hate. If you've been giving your brother the same pair of socks for Christmas or his birthday, expect the gifts piling up somewhere. Perhaps you've also seen those unused bottles of scents and unused T-shirts because these were either too small or too large.

Don't give men gift certificates if they're the type who forget where they placed their reading glasses or haven't the time to shop; the gift certificates may be forgotten or misplaced.

Don't give a man a poem, scrap books, pink sweaters, and tickets to piano recitals unless he likes the stuff. You might also think that just because you love Britney Spears he'll go crazy over Spear's latest CD. His taste will differ from yours, so be careful when deciding on a gourmet basket.

Gifts to Pamper the Man You Love

For the man you love, it is easier to drum up gift ideas. You know his fashion sense, his sports, his favorite TV shows, and movies. To appeal to his fashion sense, give him a pocket watch and pocket watch accessories and those stunning personalized cufflinks. For the love of his game, you can always give a poker set, golf accessories, or that NFL barware.

Gifts that show you care about their health and well-being are blockbusters when it comes to gifts for men. A heart exercise video for the physically inactive can start him on a healthier lifestyle. These are just subtle reminders that he has to take care of himself, too.

Gifts for your man will always vary according to his shifting interests. Give him what he needs to look and feel better and to keep himself occupied. He'll love everything you give him, fro pocket watch accessories to cool leather gadgets.

Pocket watch accessories and personalized cufflinks make unique groomsmen gifts. Visit ExecutiveGiftShoppe.com for great gift ideas within budget to suit different lifestyles.

Groomsmen Gifts - Sports Related

By Lisa Gunther

Groomsmen gifts are the gifts that a groom gives his groomsmen (best man, attendants, ushers) for participating in his wedding. These groomsmen don't merely attend the wedding. They are the other guys in the tuxedos. They help the groom by standing up and supporting him during the church service. Another thing they do is dance with the single gals at the reception to keep the party hopping.

These guys deserve a gift for their time and effort at your wedding. It need not be an extravagant gift. Anything thoughtful is appropriate and appreciated. If your groomsmen are into football, baseball or golf, selecting groomsmen gifts that are sports related is the way to go. This is not only easy for you, but perfect picks for your buddies.

You can select cufflinks, flasks, glass tankards, or rocks glasses with favorite NFL or MLB teams. Most items can even be engraved or personalized with a name and the wedding date. How cool is that? Your pals will use their sports items all the time and love you and their favorite teams. Leather money clip wallets are affordable as well and typically have NCAA, NFL or MLB teams. Personalized pub signs are especially fun if your friends like to drink alcohol.

Whatever you buy for your groomsmen gifts, just remember to get something sentimental. Your guy friends have been with you a long time and a thoughtful gift goes a long way. Most grooms spend anywhere from $15 each to $100 for groomsmen gifts. It is entirely up to you. A thoughtful gift is truly more valuable to your friends than an expensive one.

Personalized Gifts for Men Who Pretend Not To Be Bothered About Gifts

By Simon K Ekizian

The Men's Department?

Since men have different temperaments and interests, you cannot just ram the gifts you buy for them down their throats just because you didn't have the time to meditate on the type of gift that's perfect for them. What Dick wants is abhorrent for Tom. So play it by ear. You don't want to give gifts that'll gather dust in the attic, so get them those delightful personalized gifts for men that even your hard-nosed boss will be proud to have.

What if your husband, brother, in-laws, or co-workers tell you not to bother with gifts? Would your take them seriously? Don't. Men are outrageous hypocrites, and they love the attention they can get from the females in their circle. Receiving gifts make them feel special, although they won't admit it. But the problem is what to give them? It seems like they have everything and are self-sufficient when getting things for themselves.

Their macho image won't allow women to see that they are thrilled to receive gifts. Secretly, they'll bless you for not taking them seriously at all, and what do you know? They'll hope for more gifts when the next birthday or promotion comes around, but still pretend gifts are for little girls and women.

Gifts for the Men Who Don't Want Gifts

It's easy to get gifts for men. If you know their hobbies and interests, you'll be getting the items they can gladly use or wear. There are gifts that range from the practical (functional), geeky (gizmos), and to the outrageous (fun). You'll be a spoilsport when everybody has wrapped some surprises and you're standing there regretting you didn't bother to get a gift just because they said so.

To score a bulls-eye, pigeonhole the men according to stereotype. Here are some suggestions that may help you out:

* The man who loves to tinker with machinery - protective gear for the eyes and hands, tools, Swiss Army knives, and DIY manuals. You'll send them slinking to the shop to try out the gadgets.

* The fashion plate - cufflinks with his initials, elegant money clips, tie pins, wristwatch and bracelets, or a bottle of his favorite scent won't be left to gather rust.

* The ambitious CEO - business card cases, Cross Pens engraved with their initials, elegant pocket watches, and one of those impressive padfolios that will make him truly feel like the big boss.

* The caffeiniacs - personalized mugs and coasters, coffee recipes, and a freebie at the nearest Starbucks. These guys keep on losing their mugs and one more won't hurt them.

* The sportsman - golf gifts, NCAA tee-shirts and tailgating accessories, or a GPS gadget

* The bar habitue - personalized pub signs, hip flasks, or a bottle of his favorite wine.

Still worried about the perfect gift? Think food. Men love to eat, and knowing their favorite nibbles can help you out of the pit. There are gourmet baskets for the gourmand and you can pop brownies into the oven or dish up a stew that'll draw appreciative lip-smacking.

The moment you offer your gifts, watch their faces light up with pleasure. There's no male on the planet who doesn't appreciate a thoughtful gift, no matter what he says.

You either love men or hate them, but when it comes to gift giving, you want to give them personalized gifts for men. Visit ExecutiveGiftShoppe.com today.Get more information regarding personalized gifts for men.

You'll Be Sliding, Sampling, Scrambling and Smiling With These Experience Days

By Jonathan A Smith

Gifts should be memorable, shouldn't they?

Ideally, any gift bought for someone you care for should be something that they probably wouldn't buy for themselves - or they would probably already have one.

When do you see people buying a big box of chocolates with a huge flouncy bow wrapped around it and then going home and eating them while they watch Coronation Street?

Or going into a music shop, buying ฃ20 worth of gift vouchers and then grabbing a few CDs and redeeming them?

The answer is never. People generally aren't that weird.

The whole point of gifts is that they are a treat, a special, personal treat straight from the heart. Is someone special due an incredible treat?

The internet might might just have the answer.

Most of us have an ambition burning inside of us that threatens not to be fulfilled, simply because it would seem a little indulgent to do so - something that lasts only a day but stays with us for the rest of our lives. Wouldn't you just love it if somebody just dropped it on your lap as a gift? You would be simply thrilled! You would have no reason not to fulfil your dream and experience something that challenges, excites or relaxes you. Welcome to the world of experience days.

If you associate experience day gifts with white knuckle thrills and white water spills, you're probably only half right. Experiences are supposed to match the recipient's personality, not permanently impair it.

For every sideways screech in a Lamborghini there is the reassuring glug of a wine tasting day; for every stint at the controls of a light aircraft there is the breezy buzz of a balloon trip; and for every splat of paintball there is the greasepaint of a West End show.

Experience Days come in all flavours. They cover the whole range of human emotion from time-stopping calmness to heart-stopping thrills. If you know someone who loves life, you'll be able to find an experience gift to satisfy them. If they have a particular hobby or interest, you will almost certainly be able to find one that takes it a little bit further.

What is especially perfect about experience days is that they have such a long life, from being given it on the special occasion, through choosing the best date and having the growing sense of anticipation, on to the day itself and all the absorbing fun that it includes, and then when it's over but you're itching to tell everyone about it, especially whoever bought it.

Some of the experiences on offer might cost more than your usual spend on a present. These gifts are perfect opportunities for whole families or groups of friends to club together and treat the lucky recipient to a truly special day. Or perhaps they would suit a really big one-off occasion like a 50th birthday or a silver wedding anniversary - yes, there are experience days for couples, too.

Whatever the occasion, whatever the age, whatever the threshold of terror there are experience days just waiting to be enjoyed and remembered for the person who has truly earned your love and affection.

Kids Toys - Too Many Or Just Too Many At One Time

By Alycia Shapiro

When it comes to keep kids interested in their toys the number one rule is this: don't just buy new toys - rotate them. As parents we tend to buy our kids lots of toys. Then grandparents and other relatives come over and bring even more. The next thing you know your house is overrun with toys. Despite this large selection your child ends up playing with the same 2 things over and over again and you begin to wonder 'why do we have all these toys - lets get rid of them."

Before you bring that big black trash bag and start dumping the extra toys try rotating your child's toys to stimulate new interest and to keep them learning. Kids can often get overwhelmed when there are too many toys to choose from. To overcome this feeling they pick one or two items and tend to play with them exclusively. When a new item is introduced they gravitate toward it right away but then it gets lost in the clutter and kids revert to their old favorites.

The best way to combat this phenomenon is to select a 5 - 10 toys to keep out and available for your child to play with. Choose 1 or 2 from each category - a couple of puzzles, a few building toys, a set of blocks, some pretend play items, etc. Instead of getting rid of the extra toys put them out of sight in the cupboard or in the garage. After a few weeks (or how ever long you think is appropriate for your child) take about 1/3 or ฝ of the items and rotate them with the ones you had put away.

The same trick should be used for books as well. Instead of piling tons of books into a regular bookshelf get a book case that allows them to see the front cover of the books so it is easier to see the pictures on the front. Small children are very visual and this type of bookcase will stimulate their desire to look at books and eventually to read on their own. Many parents have traditionally preferred standard bookcases so they can hold all their books in one spot. When you are practicing the rotating method this is no longer a concern. Keep the extra books away in the garage and change the selection every few weeks.

You will be amazed at how your child will start to play with all of his toys & books. Each time a toy or book is hidden and then brought out again it is like getting a new play thing all over again. Kids love surprises and when they find a new toy, or one they have not seen for a while, it piques their interest and sparks their imaginations. Use this golden rule of parenting and your little one will feel like he is getting a never ending supply of new toys and books without breaking the bank.

Unique Graduation Gifts - Think Money

By Jennifer Peek

I know, I know. Money - cold, hard cash - is a tried and true graduation gift and not so unique. But that's not the kind of money I'm talking about. Why not consider money-related gifts that can keep on giving? Whether it's a high school or college graduation, any of these ideas can pay dividends for years to come.

  • An hour of financial planning. There are a number of financial planners that are fee-only planners. These planners charge only for the time they spend with you. No ongoing monthly fees or transaction charges. Just a solid plan. And many of them are focused on helping people move from one life stage to another. Graduation is a huge milestone - and might just be the best time to get a first financial plan in place. High school grads can see how time can work for them - and a mountain of student loans against them. College grads can look at new job benefits, develop a plan to pay off students loans and get that first house.
  • A contribution to a Roth IRA. The recipient must have earned income to be able to have a Roth (or any other) IRA, and the contribution cannot be any more than that earned income. But if that test is passed, a Roth IRA can be a great start for anyone. The money can grow for almost forever since there are no required distributions. And since it is opened with after-tax dollars, you are not saddling the graduate with a future tax bill.
  • Enrollment in a dividend reinvestment plan. Do you or the graduate have a favorite stock that offers a dividend reinvestment plan (DRIP)? If a Roth IRA doesn't work for you, consider buying individual stocks that pay dividends and allow them to be reinvested. Individual stocks are more tangible and easier to track than mutual funds. And DRIPs can help the investment continue to grow without putting in more money (assuming the price goes up!).
  • A contribution to a 529 savings plan. Such a contribution may be best suited for high school grads on their way to college but can also work for a college grad that wants to go on to more advanced degrees. It is an investment in their future that can help them avoid or limit the debt that can come with it.
  • A charitable contribution in the graduate's name. Does the graduate have special interests or charities that they value? Consider making a contribution in the graduate's name. It's a very personal gift that keeps on giving and not just for the charity. It is a great way to introduce the recipient to giving as a way to "spend" money.

These are just some ideas of unique graduation gifts ideas. What ideas do they spark in you?

Fabulous Gifts For The New Mother

By Priyanka Arora

When a new mom reached home, it would be better if someone is present to assist her in her primary few weeks, mostly when there are no relatives in attendance to give her a hand. The husband may be there, but he can't take care of the entire responsibility for he still has to work to make a living.

Some close neighbors may decide to bring the new parents some home cooked foods or clean their house once in a while and that would be a great present for them and this would help the new mother from getting too exhausted with all the chores in the house. It would be also a great thing to baby sit while the mom can rest for some time and she would deeply appreciate that. New moms at some point feel ugly about themselves; a gift certificate for salon makeover can help in easing out the irritabilities. Propose that you would baby sit and then offer her a complete pampering that is inclusive of facial, pedicure for she may not be able to clean her nails on the feet for months. New Gerber Knives for 2008

By Lisa Gunther

Gerber knives are quite popular these days and enjoy the same name brand recognition of well known brands such as Buck or Leatherman. For tools or pocket knives, these are all brands that can't be beat.

Gerber has added some really cool and interesting models for the first quarter of 2008. In terms of aggressive folding knives, new knives on the block include the Traverse, Obsidian and Santiam. All have blades a little over 3" long so they are not meek. They are of substantial size and will get the job done.

Gerber is a company that was started in the early 1900's. A few old school models have shown up for 2008. Several handle varieties are available that are attractive as would appeal to knife collectors: pakka wood, bone, and stag. The pakka wood comes in a rich, deep brown as well as a marbled burl look. Wood handles on knives are favorites of collectors due to their fine appearance. The bone and stag handled knives make ideal knives for compact, everyday carry when you just want simple blades. No gizmos. Just one, two or three small blades.

Gerber has gotten into the multitool business. Leatherman may have started it but Gerber is certainly giving Leatherman a run for its money. New models for 2008 include the Flik, Ripstop and Evo.

Guys love pocket knives and tools. This is a fact. Gerber knives are especially popular for groomsmen gifts. A groom will typically select Gerbers for all his groomsmen: the best man, groomsmen and ushers, sometimes the dads. Most models allow for engraving or personalizing on the blade. This adds a special, sentimental touch.

Groomsmen Gifts - Gunther Gifts specializes in unique groomsmen gifts, personalized gifts and wedding favors.

Determining The Best Gift For Your Recent Graduate

By Jon Exton

As you see your graduate walking down the aisle to receive their diploma, you can't help but feel a sense of accomplishment and pride. You have just witnessed an individual blossom over the last couple of years from a seedling into a beautiful diverse tree of knowledge and wisdom. The question now resides: what do you get them to celebrate this wondrous transformation? The answer to this question is highly dependent on the personality of the graduate.

If your graduate is highly into the technological aspect of things, this might be a great opportunity to get them something nice from the technology field. Some great ideas include a new video iPod, a new lap top computer, a new car stereo system, or even a new flat screen television. No matter what the gift is, make sure you take the graduate with you when you pick out their gift so you know that they will like it (or make sure you have their taste in mind when you pick it out).
If your graduate is more traditional, money might be the way to go. This is always an excellent choice because money is so versatile and exchangeable. This gift allows your graduate to get whatever they want, or even to pay off some student loans.

If your graduate is way into fashion, this would be a great opportunity to renew their wardrobe. They have spent the last couple of years recycling clothes so they could have enough money just to eat. What better way to congratulate them than by getting them a new beijo handbag, or new outfits from the mall. These graduates have the mentality, "what good does this degree do me if I can't dress well enough to get a job?"

If you are willing to spend a lot of money on your graduate, some great gift ideas include: a car (or at least a nice down payment on one), an all expense paid trip (typically with the family, or at least the parents), furniture for their new residence, Jewelry (such as a Italian Chamilia bracelet or nice watch), or maybe even a new washer and dryer (they will be so happy to finally be able to do laundry in their own place, trust me). These gift ideas are for the high spenders and are not expected of all parents.

No matter what you get your loved one for graduation, make sure you take time out to celebrate with them. Even though you didn't get the degree yourself, you still spent the last 4 + years motivating and inspiring them to get it. You deserve a dinner and maybe even a nice gift yourself. Enjoy this graduation season and have fun celebrating this time of transition.

Survey Results - Father's Day Gifts and Buying Patterns

By Amanda McManus

Following a recent consumer survey on Fathers Day Gift buying, award winning online gift retailer Cocoon Collection found a number of interesting statistics amongst the results, helping to shed some light on consumers' buying patterns, habits, likes and dislikes in the run up to Father's Day.

Over 20% of responses indicated buyers would be purchasing a Father's Day Gift for their partner, and an additional 12% of replies stated they would be buying for their Father-in-law.

Almost three quarters of respondents indicated that they would like to spend between ฃ10-ฃ30 on their Father's Day gift this year, and 52% of respondents stated they usually spent the same amount on Mother's Day. Interestingly, however, 38% stated they usually spent more on Mother's Day than Father's Day gifts, and a miserly 0% said the reverse was true!

Some traditional beliefs were upheld in the survey results, with over 70% saying they felt Father's Day was more difficult to buy for than Mother's Day. The type of Father's Day presents people were looking for were fairly widespread, but just sneaking in front were quirky gifts with 18%, while bringing up the rear were gifts for the whole family with only 3%.

Most people (46%) said they would buy their gifts a couple of weeks before the event, and a whopping 47% said they would buy online. Only 6% of people said they would leave it to the last minute, and 14% stated they would buy when they were shopping for something else and saw something that took their fancy.

And finally, a message that indicates advertising the date is always worthwhile well in advance, almost 75% of survey respondents did not know when Father's Day was. So, just in case you don't know, it's Sunday 15th June!

What Weight of Paper Should I Buy?

By John Oberhauser

I've been selling stationery for almost a quarter of a century, and the question I hear most often is, "What weight is this paper?" That question may seem straightforward, but the answer can be pretty confusing. Direct comparison is surprisingly difficult. Hopefully, I can make this easier for you by ignoring all of the technical terms and concentrating on the types of papers relevant to the average print-it-yourself consumer.

There are several varieties of paper and each has its own means of weight reference. A printer may try to sell you a job using 50# offset, implying that the use of 20# bond would result in an inferior product. But, for all practical purposes, 20# bond and 50# offset are the same.

Commercial printers are usually the only ones interested in technical information about paper weights and types. The desktop publishing needs of the average consumer will require no more than a few simple rules. The paper used for desktop publishing, also called designer stationery, comes in both bond and cover weight.

The name "Bond Paper" has added to the confusion. I will explain that later on. Regardless, the average consumer cares little for the multitude of paper types. You only need to worry about the terms Offset, Tag, and Index if you plan on retaining a printer for your project. You don't normally find these types of papers already cut down to sheet size. When you purchase paper in a retail store in order to print it yourself, you will often find your choices limited to bond and cover weights. The weight of bond paper is usually 20# to 32#, while cover paper is available only in 65#. I like to use the chart below when comparing paper by weight.

Paper Weight Equivalents

Bond/Writing -- Text/Offset ------- Cover

20 lb ------------ 50 lb ------------- 28 lb

24 lb ------------ 60 lb ------------- 34 lb

28 lb ------------ 70 lb ------------- 38 lb

32 lb ------------ 80 lb ------------- 44 lb

40 lb ------------ 100 lb ------------- 56 lb

43 lb ------------ 110 lb ------------- 62 lb

47 lb ------------ 120 lb ------------- 65 lb

Equivalent weights are simply the weights in this chart. By using equivalent weights, we can compare various paper types although their actual basis weights may differ.

The basis weight of a paper is actually the weight of 500 sheets, which is measured in pounds of a paper's parent sheet size. The same parent size sheet is not used for all papers.

Bond Paper is defined in dictionary as:
1. Paper with rag content that was originally used for bonds and bank notes.
2. A top quality grade of paper that can be utilized for documentation, letterheads, etc.

The term bond paper has become the generic term for high-quality paper in cut sheet sizes, such as 11"x17" or letter-size, sold in reams of 500 sheets each. Typically, designer paper is found in 25 or 100 sheet packages.

Designer stationery refers to paper with designs already printed. From your home or office, you can design your own message and then print from your printer or copier. Designer stationery can be used with a majority of laser, plain paper, and inkjet copiers on the market.

What is commonly referred to as cardstock is actually 65# cover weight paper. This is typically sold at the retail level in cut sheet reams or as business or post cards. The type of paper used for printing invitations at home is 65# cover.

I hope I've presented all of this in a much more understandable way by taking a lot of the technical terminology out of the discussion. This should all make much better sense to you the next time you go shopping if you simply keep in mine the paper weight equivalents.

John Oberhauser knows paper as he manages The Image Shop that sells all types of paper and paper products. From Certificate paper stock to Business Letterhead(s), he sells them all, including Lion Poly Envelopes. John can tell you exactly which type of paper is right for your needs and sell it to you at a reasonable price.

Second Time Round

By Paul T Simon

Omega Seamaster Professional is the signature model watch for Omega, a company who chose their name to symbolise ambitions of being the last word in watch production. Having earned many awards throughout a 150 year history, been chosen as the official brand of the Olympic Games, and selected by NASA as a reliable time keeper, the Omega Seamaster has now been worn by beloved British Spy James Bond for more than a decade. With all the hype for the latest Bond film, Quantam of Solace, surely around the corner this article is going to look at the different watches showcased by Bond throughout the 21 previous movies:

Dr No - Rolex Submariner, with no special gadgets or specialist fittings.

From Russia With Love - Garotte watch. There doesn't appear to be a particular brand for this piece with the in-built strangulation device. Of course in this movie it wasn't actually Bond, but the villainous assasin, Red Grant, who actually wore this watch.

Goldfinger - A Rolex submariner is worn by Bond, whilst Honor Blackman's Pussy Galore wears a Rolex GMT during her flight sequences.

Thunderball - Beyond the Submariner, the Breitling "Top Time" Diver is also shown in this film, complete with Geiger Counter.

You Only Live Twice - No watch can be seen in this film, so 5 films in and we still have no Omega Seamaster.

On Her Majesty's Secret Service - George Lazenby's one and only appearance as the spy, and he carried on where Connery left off, by wearing the Rolex Submariner.

Diamonds Are Forver - No Omega Seamaster here ... in fact no watch at all.

Live And Let Die - A vastly updated Rolex Submariner appeared in Roger Moore's first installment; one that included magnetic abilities (capable of bullet deflection), and a spinning mechanism which allowed James to cut through rope restraints.

The Man With The Golden Gun - Bond sticks with his Rolex watch, as did evil marksman Scaramanga, although his was the Cellini King Midas model.

The Spy Who Loved Me - Time for a change? Well Roger Moore wasn't going anywhere for a while, but his trusty Rolex was ditched in favour of a Seiko Quartz model capable of printing out ticker tape messages from HQ. Before the advent of mobile phones and text messaging this must have been pretty useful tool in a spy's arsenal. Still no sight of the Omega Seamaster however.

Moonraker - Seiko LCD Digital was Bond's choice for this overly silly movie. A real shame actually because the original Fleming book is one of the best books; needless to say it bears no relation to the film's plot.

For Your Eyes Only - A radio receiver was added to Bond's Seiko, allowing 2-way conversations to be carried out, whilst also incorporating a digital display for textual messages.

Octopussy - For Moore's penultimate film the Seiko Sports was his watch of choice, which was not only a digital LCD but also contained a TV screen for watching moving images transmitted via radio. Bond was also able to use his Seiko G757-5020 as an audio spy device in conjunction with a specially developed fountain pen.

A View To A Kill - Despite the exciting Eiffel Tower base jump this was a rather flaccid entry in the series, and was the last of Roger Moore's appearances as the superspy. His watch was a Seiko, but after the previous film's impressive watch gadgetry, this model was as unremarkable as the film.

The Living Daylights - Timothy Dalton marked his arrival as Bond by wearing ... an "unknown" watch. Oh well, I'm sure we'll hear from the Omega Seamaster soon.

Licence To Kill - Dalton was back, and so was a familiar sight to Bond fans across the globe. Yes, the old faithful Rolex Submariner was back on his wrist for what was to be Tim's last outing in his brief dalliance as Bond.

Goldeneye - Some have argued that Pierce Brosnan is as close to Ian Fleming's image of Bond as there's been. Which is encouraging for those at Omega, as this would mark the first film where he wore the Seamaster Professional. In-built were a laser cutter and a remote mine detonator. Interestingly both of these features were included in the Nintendo 64 game adaptation of the film.

Tomorrow Never Dies - Is it just me, or is this film on far too much considering it's a rather mediocre entry? Nevertheless Bond stuck by his Seamaster for this outing, which retained it's detonation abilities.

The World Is Not Enough - Omega Seamaster Professional complete with grappling hook.

Die Another Day - Woeful after the first half hour, this film was to be Brosnan's last as Bond, however it wasn't to be the last for the Omega Seamaster Professional.

Casino Royale - Daniel Craig's unfair reception as Bond was soon forgotten once the critics actually based their opinions on the film and not their preconceived (and incorrect) ideas. Craig continued to wear the Brosnan favoured Seamaster, and it looks as though Omega is here to stay as Bond's timepiece for the foreseeable future.

Jesus Sandals Are Not Just For Hippies Anymore

By Tom S Powers

Your feet are one of the most important areas of your body. They are essential to living healthy, normal lives. That's why it is so important to take care of our feet and treat them with the care we tend to show to the rest of our bodies. Our poor feet are often neglected, being so far away from our hands and eyes, but don't let them become out of sight, out of mind. Take care of your feet and they will thank you by feeling better.

Finding the right shoes is imperative to taking care of our feet. In the summer, you might like a sandal, but those plastic flip flops with the toe thong can be uncomfortable and look unbecoming if you are trying to look dressy or professional. If you want a sandal different from those kinds of sandals, try comfortable leather sandals with a good sole and straps - the ones you might call Roman sandals, Greek sandals, or Jesus sandals.

These styles of sandals are made with both fit and design in mind. And if something has been around for centuries, then you must admit the design is simply the best. These sandals have been around since the time of Christ and this is how they got the nickname "Jesus sandals." They were also the footwear of the Romans and Greeks before him.

The Jesus sandal is unbelievably comfortable and very convenient to wear, which contributes to the longevity of this sandal. Idea for warmer climates, these shoes protect your feet with the soles, and feel as comfortable as if you where wearing a regular shoe, yet allows the foot to breathe. These are a few of the reasons that these shoes are the perfect shoes for traveling or vacations.

When in the market to purchase a new pair of shoes, keep in mind that as with everything else, no two shoes, or sandals, are created equal. Always try on any shoes you are thinking of buying, even if they are tagged as being your size, as the size listing is not always correct.

When purchasing shoes, it is advisable to know what kind of leather or man-made materials have been used. The different material will determine the quality of your shoe. If you want your shoes to look their best and last the longest, it is recommended you go with a leather shoe as opposed to a synthetic man-made shoe.

Taking care of your feet should be a number one priority for everyone. A good comfortable sandal should last you a long time. Many years ago, Jesus wore sandals that have been nicknamed jesus sandals These shoes are ideal for warmer climates. They protect your feet with the soles, and feel as comfortable as if you where wearing a regular shoe, yet allow the foot to breathe. These are a few of the reasons that these shoes are the perfect shoes for traveling or vacations. Some of the other styles you might remember are Roman sandals and greek sandals
