Great Gifts For Boyfriends

By Paul J Matheus

Which is more fun-the giving or the receiving? Giving is challenging but rewarding when you see the smile on your boyfriend's face. Receiving just makes you warm and fuzzy all over and sometimes leaves you wanting for more. I'm talking about gift-giving, of course! These days, you can find a reason to celebrate almost any occasion. Aside from the normal holidays, why not gift your boyfriend for passing exams, getting promoted, or when his favorite sports team wins? Spoil him rotten and set a good example that will encourage him to reciprocate!

Personalized gifts make a great gift for boyfriends. Not only do they know you had to take the time to get their name or initials on it, but then you can rest assured that everyone else knows that gift belongs to your boyfriend and ONLY your boyfriend! What about personalizing a cap for him? Think outside the box on this one-maybe a special nickname you've given him, or a fun text or SMS phrase the two of you often use (luv u or <3 come to mind).

Another great gift idea is to look for something really unusual that would be hard to find in just your local shops. Fun artwork or ceramics that you don't see every day, or maybe an exceptional pendant for him to wear around his neck or on his wrist. The more out of the ordinary it is, the more people will notice and ask questions about it. It never hurts for your boyfriend to brag about the good taste his girlfriend (you!) has!

The next idea I have comes from my father's toy collection. When he was younger, he collected bobble head dolls of his favorite baseball players. I remember when I first saw that collection, I thought it was so funny and wished they still made them. Now they do! A few years ago, bobble heads started making a comeback! You could get a bobble head of your boyfriend's favorite sports hero, band member, or find a way to make your own! If you're really creative, make a two-person bobble head set of the two of you bobbling together!

If you have the means to really spoil your boyfriend, why not plan a trip for the two of you? Or even send him and a (male) friend on a trip. They could go camping to really "rough it" or a little less rough would be to set them up in a cabin or nice hotel in natural surroundings. There are plenty of beach trips, too, if your boyfriend is into surf and sand... but that's one you'll probably want to experience with him!

So be creative, be crafty, be cunning, and spoil him rotten! Don't worry, he'll reward you for your efforts!
